A note

Are you here because you want me to write about your show? Please know that I write reviews for publications when they ask me to, and when they pay me (my bank balance is a sensitive see-saw, and my spare time is measured in grains of sand).

I may be able to write something on my Notes On section (a space for me to be creative and not follow the rules of typical reviews). Some things to consider:

  1. If you invite me to see something and I do not like it, I will not write about it. Fair, no? The exception would be if it is such an abomination it provokes a bilious response in me which I cannot contain. I don’t think this would happen often, though.

  2. If you invite me to see something and I do like it, please don’t pressure me to deliver my write-up on a schedule. I know quotes can be very useful to publicity and marketing, and indeed the future of a show, but… this is but a humble website after all, which Squarespace stats tells me is basically unvisited. I promise, if I have good things to say, I’ll publish something eventually (guilt is my strongest motivator) and will send you a link (not disappointing people is my second strongest motivator).
